The first Toronto Israeli Film Series, supported by the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto and the Israeli
Consulate of Toronto and Western Canada, took place in 2016 with the goal of shining a positive light on
Israel, by showcasing Israeli culture through film.
By bringing the people behind the movies to Toronto, including actors, producers, and real life heroes,
TIFS presents interactive and colourful reception events, making the festival a wholesome cinematic
experience for its movie goers.
Following its Toronto sold out success, TIFS’s Chair and founder, Tami Berman, is setting her goals on
taking the festival across Canada in the near future.
